Before you go on holiday, don't forget to
You may fall ill or have an accident, you could have money or luggage stolen, your holiday might be cancelled or cut short through injury or illness. Your travel insurance will cover these eventualities and reimburse you or if necessary pay your medical bills.
Single trip travel insurance is cover for the duration of one holiday. If you or your group are only planning to go away once within a year, then you only need single trip travel insurance.
Winter sports travel insurance provides the same cover as single trip with the addition of providing cover for winter sports, such as snow skiing, boarding, etc. The sports covered vary with insurer.
If you are going away more than once a year than this will probably work out as the more cost effective option for you. Annual multi trip insurance provides cover for any number of trips within a 12 month period, providing each trip does not exceed the maximum number of consecutive days allowed. The maximum number of consecutive days allowed varies with insurer but is usually in the region of 30.
As with single trip travel insurance there is the option of purchasing cover for europe and / or worldwide destinations. Annual multi trip insurance usually includes cover for a winter sports holiday aswell.
The level of cover offered in family insurance is the same as that in single trip, winter trip and annual multi trip. The premium is calculated on a family group basis and therefore is more cost-effective for insuring your family than buying separate policies for each individual.
Yes you can. Policies vary with insurers but the majority of our panel provide cover for the over 65s. Some restrictions do apply for over 70s and some geographical restrictions apply. When you complete the quotation request on InsuranceNow, you will automatically be shown the policies suitable for you. Please note, if you are obtaining a quotation for a group of travellers, some of whom are under 65 and some of whom are over 65, please obtain separate quotes for each age group as this will maximise the options available to you.
Some insurers offer discounts for larger groups (10 or more). With InsuranceNow, applicable discounts are deducted from your quote and itemised for you.
Excesses are the amounts of a claim that you have to pay. With travel insurance most insurers will not pay the first £35 of a claim.
