InsuranceNow takes the security of your personal data seriously. When submitting your information to the site, your data will be protected by a Secure Socket Layer between your computer and our servers, resulting in all your information being encrypted whilst it is sent to and from our servers. When you are connected to our secure server a locked padlock symbol will appear in your browser window. The address in the address bar will also display "https" rather than "http".
Any credit card information you supply via our online purchase process is only held on our systems for the duration of completing your purchase and is encrypted to ensure only those authorised to access it can do so. The Consumer Credit Act (1974) also applies to transactions over the internet. The Act limits your maximum liability on your credit card to £50, in the event of its fraudulent use. All liability ceases completely once the credit card issuer has been notified of any loss or fraudulent use.
You can access our web site home page and browse our insurance section home pages without disclosing your personal information. InsuranceNow use sessional cookies in the provision of services. Certain third party providers may set cookies with your browser in the following circumstances:
We respect your privacy. Information that you have supplied or will supply while using our services is collected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Any information supplied during the quotation process is stored and held on our servers with security systems in place to prevent unauthorised access. You can recall your information by using "your profile" and entering your chosen password. Do not disclose your password to anybody as they would then be able to recall your information.

Your information may be used for statistical and research purposes such as site traffic reports or to enhance or develop future products and services. InsuranceNow may also use your information to inform you by post or email of other services, products or offers. You may opt-out from receiving this information during the quotation request process.
If you are applying in joint names or if you are insuring additional people (e.g. additional drivers or travellers) you confirm that you are acting with the knowledge and consent of such people and that you will inform them of this document.
This site gives users the ability to update personal information previously provided (your details), by logging on to the site using "your profile" and amending the details displayed. If you wish to know what information we hold about you, write, in the first instance, to Customer Services via letter or email customer_services@insurancenow.co.uk. This may be subject to a fee of £10.
Your details will be passed to the Insurer from whom you purchase cover and will be added, if relevant, to the Motor Insurance Database, run by the Motor Insurers' Information Centre (MIIC). Insurers also pass data to approved organisations for underwriting and fraud prevention purposes. The Insurer may also use your information to update their own records.
We will not give anyone else your information, unless you ask us to or give us permission or if we have to by law.
Communications may be monitored or recorded to ensure a consistent and high level of service.
The information that you have supplied, or will supply, in connection with quotations obtained and policies effected through this website, forms the basis of your application for insurance. You must check and agree that this information is correct. In the event of a claim, or upon request, you must be able to substantiate all of the details that you have provided. In particular, you may be asked for sight of your Driving Licence, proof of immobiliser fitment if applicable, and proof of any No Claims Discount entitlement.
The information must be correct to the best of your knowledge and belief, and you are reminded of your obligation to disclose all material facts. Material facts are those which are likely to influence an Insurer in his acceptance, or otherwise, of your risk. If you are in any doubt as to whether or not a fact is material you should disclose it. Insurers pass information to the Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register, run by Insurance Database Services Ltd (IDS Ltd) and the Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register, run by the Association of British Insurers (ABI). When we deal with your request for insurance, we may search these registers.
